Method
Start by cleaning the squid, removing the innards and skin
Cut into rings about 2 cm thick, chopping some to small pieces and leaving a few whole.
Sauté the onion over high heat in a pan with a little oil and, if desired, some chili pepper.
Add the squid, cook for a couple of minutes, and then add the tomato sauce, halved cherry tomatoes, and a few basil leaves. Season with salt and cook on low heat, adding a bit of pasta cooking water if needed.
Cook the Delverde mezzi rigatoni for about 10 minutes, as indicated on the package.
Drain the pasta al dente and finish to cook it in the pan with the sauce. A sprinkle of pepper, a few fresh basil leaves and the dish is ready to serve!
